Young Love on a Ship
There was a man named Jónas he was from Iceland and he was sailing to Sweden on his ship. When he came to Sweden he went to the restaurant on the harbour where he met a beautiful waiter whose name was Liisa, he had never seen such a beautiful woman his entire life. Liisa had blue eyes and blond hair. She was wearing a black hat with a baby pink bow and a matching dress.
Liisa was serving him coffee when she asked him if he wanted anything else. He said: "I need a waiter on my ship and I think you are perfect for that". Liisa thought for a moment and then she answered. "Yes, where is it going", she asked? " I‘m going back to Iceland where I live", Jonas said.
Liisa and Jonas where getting everything ready to go on the ship. It was going great, they got all the food, clothes and supplies they needed. Liisa was saying goodbye to her cousin Lea she was staying with, Lea was very mad at her that she was leaving Sweden. Lea was not going to let her leave but Liisa was determent to leave with Jónas.
When they were on the ship they enjoyed every moment of it and they fell in love. Even though they had to work, they still had time for their love.
But one night there was a really bad storm and there where plains shooting at them because they thought Jónas' ship was giving the Naziz food and supplies. Liisa was trying to get away from the shots that the plain was shooting and she almost fell in the sea and is holding on to the edge of the boat. Jónas noticed that and tried to run to her but was shot in the arm. But that didn‘t stop him, he pulled her up and got her in to shelter. When this happened, the ship got ruined and they were going to give up when Jónas remembers that he has a life raft. Jónas was getting weak because of the bullet in his arm, so Liisa had to row, Liisa and Jónas were the only people on the boat all the others died, and they only had water with them. Jónas was getting weaker by the the minute, Liisa knew she had to do something. She didn't have many supplies on the boat, she took Jónas' belt off and wrapped it around his arm, to stop the bleeding. Luckily they had water on the boat so she could clean the wound and give Jónas some water.
They had been rowing for over three days and they were starting to give up when Liisa saw an island. She started to cry of joy, Jónas is happy too but he is very sad because his ship was ruined. It was hard at first because they didn‘t have any money so they had to start their new life together in the Faroe islands.
They lived there for two hard years, they worked both as a waiter and they were working every day and night. They were really thankful to have peace and they were nervous about leaving the peaceful island. When they had finally collected enough money and the war was over they wanted to leave Faroe island to go live in the big city life in Helsinki, they decided to buy a ship and sail to Norway and drive from Bodø to Helsinki in Finland. They started their new life together. When they came to Helsinki Liisa wanted to go to school and learn to be a lawyer. They wanted to give their future children a great life. While Liisa was in school Jónas sailed all over the world to raise money so Liisa could get the education she needed. When they were settled down and had created the life they wanted to have together, they decided to have children and they had three children, two daughters and one son.
