It’s the 29th of August in 1939 in Poland.
A man named George Goldman is sitting down to have dinner with his family, George Goldman is a nice man who works at a bank and has never hurt a person in his life. To make things clear you have to understand that George is Jewish and so is his family.
It’s the 1st of September 1939 in Poland, also known as the September Campaign
The Nazis invade Poland and thousands of Jewish and Polish people died during the invasion including George Goldmans family.
It’s the 29th of September 1939.
George Gold escapes Poland and migrates to France where he is taken in by the society and he fits in and there are no Naziz looking for him.
It’s the 13th of October 1939 in France.
George just got a job as a banker and has made new friends at bank he works at.
It’s the 24th of December 1939 in France.
It’s Christmas eve or for George Hanukkah and he celebrates it among his new French friends and at this moment he truly feels comfortable and thinks things will only get better.
It’s the 16th of April 1940 in France.
George has changed his name in fear that Goldman might be to obvious so his name is now George Smith. You can never be too careful especially when there is a world war going on.
It’s the 10th of May 1940 in France, also known as the Fall of France
The Nazis have invaded the lower countries of Europe and George is once more in grave danger from the Nazi Army so he decides to hide.
It’s the 23th of May 1940 in France.
George tries to flee France but he is unsuccessful when he is apprehended by Nazis. He was Executed on spot. The End?
This story is about how emigrating doesn’t always have a happy ending.
